Doña Ana County Jail Roster
The official current jail roster is DAC JCMS Inmates Online. It is available to public users as jcms_public Guest, and the research observed a current-inmate roster with sortable columns. The page can be used without registration for public roster searches, although a login link is visible for non-public access. The roster is the first place to check current county detention, pretrial custody, and booking profile information.
The roster does not replace court files. A jail profile may show arrest agency, arrest date, charge, statute, warrant fields, court, court date, and bond, but the final filed charge and disposition live in the court case. Municipal cases may route to Las Cruces Municipal Court or another city court. Misdemeanors and felony preliminary matters may route to Magistrate Court. Felony case files generally move to District Court once formally filed.

This public roster is the most direct official online channel for current Doña Ana County inmate records.
Search Doña Ana County Inmates
The roster uses a simple keyword search and a Current tab. Enter a name or other known keyword, then review the table results before opening the profile. The roster result columns include Booking Num, Last Name, First Name, Middle Name, Sex, and Booking Date. Booking Num is linked to the inmate profile, and the observed roster sorted booking numbers in descending order by default.
- Open DAC JCMS Inmates Online and choose the public Current roster when needed.
- Enter one keyword in the search field, such as a last name or known booking-related term.
- Review Booking Num, name, sex, and booking date in the roster results.
- Open the linked profile to check charges, court, warrant, court date, bond, and bail fields.
- If the person is not listed, check whether the custody is state, federal, juvenile, released, or held by another agency.
Doña Ana County Inmate Fields
The search form is narrower than many jail systems. It requires a keyword, not a full set of name, date of birth, and booking-number fields. The roster table then becomes the main filtering tool because public users can sort several result columns. This design means broad names can return more than one match, while spelling errors can hide a current booking.

Doña Ana County Inmate Profiles
The sample profile inspected on June 19, 2026 showed a detailed public booking layout. Visible fields included booking number, booking date and time, image, name, address city/state/ZIP style information, sex, race, hair, eyes, height, weight, skin, age, charge section, statute, charge description, charge type, arrest location, arrest date and time, arrest agency, judge, warrant number, warrant, warrant type, court case, court, court date, bond amount, bond type, and bail amount.

The profile is useful for booking and custody details, but it remains a jail record rather than the full court case record.

Doña Ana County Jail Facilities
The Doña Ana County Detention Center is at 1850 Copper Loop in Las Cruces and includes both adult and juvenile detention facilities. The county lists the adult facility capacity as 846 detainees and the juvenile capacity as 50. The adult facility was built in 1995, then expanded and remodeled in 2000 to 846 beds and 166,543 square feet. The county describes an adult design with glass partitions and continuous observation rather than traditional bars between staff and inmates.

County Jail and Other Custody
DAC JCMS covers current county detainees. It does not search every person in New Mexico custody. State sentenced prisoners and parole fugitives should be checked through New Mexico Corrections Department and VINE channels. Federal inmates are searched through the Bureau of Prisons inmate locator, which is separate from the Doña Ana County jail roster. Juvenile detention access is also not the same as the adult public roster.
VINE is useful for custody-status notification. The county detention research lists VINE at 877-551-8463 and vinelink.com. VINE is a free, 24-hour, confidential service in English, Spanish, and Navajo. It should be used for custody alerts and status checks, not as a replacement for the roster or court records.
Records not shown in the roster may still exist. The Detention Center page includes a detention record request route, and county records can also move through the Doña Ana County IPRA and RecordBook process. Booking records may be redacted before release. Medical, mental-health, juvenile, PREA, security, and investigative details are common reasons a detention record may not match the short public profile. Las Cruces Police Records also keeps police reports, while arrest affidavits and criminal complaints may be obtained from Third Judicial District's Magistrate Court. That split keeps the police report, booking profile, and court complaint in separate offices.

Doña Ana County Inmate Visits
Adult visitation is mainly video based. County text states that online video visitation is available 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. seven days a week, including county holidays, while the detailed schedule lists morning, afternoon, and evening windows. Families may schedule free or fee-based visits from home using a laptop, desktop computer, or smartphone through GettingOut. Juvenile visits are different and must be scheduled before arrival by calling 575-647-7680.

Personal mail and legal mail use different addresses. Personal mail goes to Doña Ana County Detention Center, detainee name and booking number, P.O. Box 247, Phoenix, MD 21131. Legal mail goes to the detainee name and ID number at Doña Ana County Detention Center, 1850 Copper Loop, Las Cruces, NM 88005. Sender full name and return address are required, and personal mail can be opened and inspected. Legal mail is treated separately.

Mail rules are strict, so do not send money orders, cash, stamps, blank envelopes, checks, greeting cards, oversized envelopes, packages, perfume, stickers, or prohibited images through personal mail.
Phone calls may be collect, pre-paid, debit, or through ConnectNetwork. The inmate phone service number is 1-877-650-4249. Text messaging, video visits, deposits, and photos are connected to GettingOut services. Money transfers use Access Corrections, with phone deposits at 1-866-345-1884 and inmate money service at 575-647-7653.
Doña Ana County Inmate Bonds
The detention research lists cash bond, surety bond or professional bondsman, property bond, and personal recognizance bond. Before a first court appearance after arrest, normally only cash and surety bonds are available. The Detention Center does not process cash bonds onsite. Cash bonds must be paid at the court of record or jurisdiction, and the Detention Center accepts money orders or cashier's checks made to the court of record or jurisdiction for bonds.
